The Bayard Schools Board of Education accepted the resignation of Board Member Jessica Dankowski at the June meeting. In accordance with state law, the Board will begin the process of appointing an individual to complete the remainder of Jessica’s term through the 2028 calendar year.

The Bayard Board of Education is encouraging community members to consider this volunteer position in support of public education and the students of Bayard Public Schools. Qualified applicants must be a registered voter and a resident of the Bayard School
District.

Applications are available at the office of the Superintendent located at 726 4th St., Bayard, NE during regular business hours, or downloaded from this link. The Board will interview applicants during the special board meeting on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026 at 6:00 P.M. selecting the candidate following the interviews. The newly appointed board member will take the oath of office at the July 13, 2026 Board meeting.

Application Deadline: Applications must be received in the superintendent’s office by Wednesday, June 17th, 2026, at 4:00 P.M.
